The D113 Board of Education will discuss artificial turf at DHS and parking lot improvements at DHS, HPHS, and Wolter’s Field. Total cost exceeds $1 million. These projects should be rejected, and the Board should use the money to fund NEEDS such as HVAC and remedying library flooding…

The Special Meeting of the Board, scheduled to discuss the Artificial Turf at 7:30am on a Friday was cancelled. The Board President’s letter to the public expressing disappointment over the referendum results was removed.

The poll they reference is on a web-magazine site entitled “Make It Better”, and it’s one of those “I agree, I disagree, I’m undecided” click-a-button things that any one can choose to vote on.

The D113 pools are 10 feet deep. This meets the standards of the IL Dept of Public Health. Other’s claim that we should meet deeper standards, but that claim isn’t supported by persons with great experience in the sport of diving.
